because if I am, it means that all the time I spend making fun of hipsters will be hypocritical and vaguely ironic and then I will have to listen to unpopular bands who play bad music and I am not ready to make that lifestyle choice yet. Also my friend Devlin will never respect me again, and he's managed to respect me despite my involvement with fandom and liking Duran Duran.
